---I'm picking up two Icecap 660 VHO ballasts on Saturday that I found on Craigslist ... anyway I had a couple of questions before I try wiring them.
1. Do VHO ballasts mean all VHO's ... including T5's?
---I looked up the 660 ballast and it says you can run 4 bulbs up to 4 feet.
2. Does this mean I can do 4 bulbs that are 36" as well? ie. 2 ballasts = 8 36" T5 bulbs?

Thanks for the quick response.
That's awesome ... I just got a 58 gallon Oceanic on clearence from Aquatic Obsessions through his vendor.
It's 36x18x21. No center brace. Reefready.
I'm gonna use it as a frag tank. I have to build a canopy (and by me, I mean whoever I can pay to do it) and retrofit all the T5's I can fit in the top of it. I might only be able to do 6 T5's across 18" But if I can fit 7 or 8 then I'll try my best to get them in there.
Which leaves me with another question. How many T5's can I fit in an 18" deep canopy??

the t5 gurus recommend every 2.5-3" spacing for t5s so that would leave room for 6..

Danny, I may have to take you up on that offer. Once I get the hood made maybe I can bring the whole thing to you and get it wired up. Thanks.

They are actually a snap to wire up.
Each set of 4 lamps would get wired like this:

Depending when you are setting this up I might have 6 36" reflectors with end caps and stand offs for T5 that I am going to sell

I won't be setting it up for a while. The tank is still at Aquatic Obsessions and I'm still working on building the hood and fixing up a small sump that I can use. So keep me in mind when you're ready. Thank you.

If you leave it there much longer, it may disappear! 8)
I tried to order one today and they are all gone. :'(

All Gone!?!? That was quick. The way Will waited to order mine till the end of the week I would have thought they had a wearhouse full. I'm gonna have to pick it up really soon. Besides there's an Oceanic 215 in the store that's way more attractive than a dinky 58gallon. I'm sure Will will find you another deal.... he's good at those sorta things.
