well, i purchased this camera on a whim. it's water proof to 30 feet, and i was having trouble getting decent pics from the waters surface, especially shooting the lps which is amost always on the sand bed (25" away from the camera), so i figured a submersible camera might be just the trick.

it turns out i was correct. i love this thing. the only trouble i was having with it was keeping my jittery hands still while attempting macros. the following pictures were taken in under a minute, with no tripod and one hand, on the full automatic setting-

Wow, very cool. Thanks for the info, skipped off immediately to check out the specs on that thing. Pretty affordable as well all things considered. Looks like it averages about $275-$300.

Nice to be able to see what it's practically capable of first too! Keep playing and posting! ;)

thanks...my tank is nothing more than a coral holding tank now. i'm breaking it down and have sold off alot of the aquascaping already. i am waiting for the tank i used at macna to cycle. this will be my main display from now on. no more getting my armpits wet when i'm trying to get stuff off of the sand bed!
recent fts of the 195-

Hmmm..how about green milky way acans!?!?

what i didn't like was that most of the coral was browned out. i mean, there were maze brains and porites down there the size of volkswagens, but they were poop brown. the instructor said it was because the water was murky because of spawning season. i say it's because of something else.

well, if that's what you want to call them, that's what we'll call them. ;)
