The weather was great.  The drive was uneventful.  NJRC members took a trip down the Parkway to Cape May, NJ; home of the infamous acrylic master and DIY guru.

From my personal log:

12:20pm....  As we walked up the diriveway, we noticed a fragrance coming from the kitchen......  hmmmmm what's cookin'?  I head up the stairs, bucket of frags in one hand, Camera case on the other, I was greeted by a meerkat, I mean chihuahua and a Black lab.  Ziggy and Jazz.  We go in.  Lo and behold the Tyndalls!  Boy oh boy, the food spread was gonna be great!  I was greeted by a beautiful array of pepperoni and cheese, crackers and soda.  BUT something else was cookin' in the back.......  more on that later.

1:30pm....  one by one, all the members arrive, and the food was laid out....
bacon wrapped scallops with seaweed salad, spinach dip on pumpernickel, a veggie platter, nachos and a guacamole and bean dip, clam dip, macaroni and cheese, spicy ribs, potato salad, coleslaw, BBQ chicken, ribs again, fresh bread, meatballs, and even cream puffs..........mmmmmmmmmmmm   creampuffs.  and not to mention the copious amounts of alcoholic beverages......

Dr Mac, our guest speaker also arrives on time for some wonderful grub (thanks to the gourmet chef brother and Dana), and hauls a few boxes of donations for our club raffle across the Delaware.  In tow were coral orders from NJRC members.

Dr Mac later on gave us a presentation of his trip to the Solomons and how he toured the facility he stayed in.   WOW!

A few of my take aways from the presentation (I'm sure others will chime in):

Most corals are brown, and only a small percentage of corals that arrive at the Pacific East Aquaculture facility in Maryland were actual "jewels" of the reefs.

Corals are fragged and mounted with string.  No cyanoacrylate there.  Oh, and eggcrate needs to be "imported" the the islands.

Zoos like dirty water.  They proliferate in dirty water.  Uggh.  You had to be there for the presentation to understand.  Don't ever eat zoos.  Uggh.  Or swim with them  Ugggghhhhhhh.

Superman montis are also "easy" to get.  go figure.

Locals are friendly..........

Do not run for government in the islands

Bring an airconditioner with you to the islands, and bug spray.

There really is a picture on the TV screen, guys.  Really

Great job Merv, I really appreciate the hard work and time that you put into the pictures and post.

More tank shots coming? (I'm so hopeless with a camera its my only hope of getting good shots)  I promise I won't post I took them with my Kodak Easy Share. Cheesy

WOW! Thanks Merv!!!!!
Don't worry about them 10K's . I'm redoing my pendent with the reflectors I got in the Group Buy and am considering going with 10K's. Part of the redo will allow me to put the 6 - T5's actinic / blues 3" off the water.
