So most of the summer my AC has been on. The past couple of days my windows been open cause of the nice Temps outside. This morning the wife and I talked maybe putting the air back on cause it be 85+ today. It's going to be chilly tonight so let's push it. Well got my first true alert from my DYI controller. 80 is where I set the limit so 80.2 isn't too bad. I be going home soon and see how high it gotten and if I should be concern. Now my temp been between 77 and 79 so I'm not too worry right now.

Ok so to follow up on my high temp alert. When I got home my temp was 80.4. We put the air on (was warm in the apartment and my wife had to turn the oven on). I looked at my temp history and noticed that it took 4 to 5 hours to go from 78.4 to 80.4. It was at 80.4 for two hours and took 4 to 5 hours to go back to 78.4. I think that 2 degree swing over 4 to 5 hours wasn't a big deal and my tank seems to be doing fine. Will keep an eye on it just to make sure there are no ill affect.

so over the 'stormy' weekend I decided I would do some coding on my project. I now have a page to display all alerts sent (right now just temp alerts are being sent out). As you can see by the image these were just test alerts to make sure they work.

I am also working on setting water parameters alerts (which at this time will not send alert to my phone). This is just the first step. This area will be where I set a critical low level, a low level, a high level and a critical high level. Not sure if I am liking this part of the UI so there might be changes to it down the road.

So I got the bug to add more stuff to my controller. I am trying to decide on three different options right now.
Options:
1. Upgrade my 4 channel relay to a 8 channel relay which will allow me to add four more controllable outlets.
2. Look at controlling my RWs pumps
3. Look at controlling my Kessil A360 light

Now if I go with option 1 I would look at add my heater to the system as well as get a backup heater (so I can put rules in that will help prevent heater failure issues)

Now if I go with option 2 I be able to include the wave pumps to my feeding button (as others) as well as set different wave patterns

Now if I go with option 3 I be able to control my kessil light but I already have the kessil controller. I am also concern if I messed up I might kill my light which would be bad due losing my light lol. (so might not do option 3)

Now down the road I would love to have all three options (plus more) but right now just want to focus on one of them.

I would go 1 and 2, lol. One would be better to put the heater on the controller, rather than it getting stuck one day with no backup to turn it off. It's the only option out of the three that could prevent a tank failure. The other two are nice to have but not as needed.

Thanks. I was thinking the same. Also already have the base code for it (already controlling the 4 channel so 4 more channels will be simple. The only issue is I'm not sure I have room for 4 more outlets (but I might be able to find room)

I've got a spare 8 plug outlet laying around here somewhere, that should be twice as good, right? lol

This is all over my head by a lot but really cool! Wish I knew more about tech stuff. I agree with art I would look into choices 1 and 2.

So I been working on some more options on my system. I am not a big fan of the water parameter range UI so that most likely will be changing at some point; yes I just realize I have a type-o in the title.

Water Parameters:
To help determine if my levels are in the range I want I added these ranges. Now with a quick glance I will know if my numbers are off. I am thinking of having it so I can load 'templates' or create a custom one.

When the numbers are in red it means they are in the critical range (either high or low) and yellow means they are just in the warning range (either low or high). I also thinking of adding a hover over so when you hover over a field it will let you know why its in the range and steps to take to fix it.

Reports:
I made some changes to the report section. I now added alert history so I can pull up any alerts my system sends out.

I also added a date range picker for the temp report.
