Sobo's Fluval Evo

Hey everyone.. in the next week or so I'm hoping to purchase a Fluval Evo tank. I've watched numerous videos and seen pictures of these tanks and I just love the setup it has... it's nothing big at all but for someone like myself coming back into the hobby after so long, I feel it's the best move.. for now. I'll be updating this as I go along but for now i still don't even own the tank.. or know what kind of stand I'm gonna have for it either. I wanted to get a stand that will allow me to have a space for top off water underneath as I'm sure this tank will evaporate water like crazy. Maybe store a 10g underneath?

Also tryna figure out if the ps1 skimmer that was made for it will be okay or if I should just go ahead and get the ps2 skimmer?

As far as the lights go, I'm gonna stick it out with the stock lights and see what it can grow. Start out with soft corals and work my way up. For once I'm not trying to grow and sell corals, I just want a nice little tank that'll last me a long time with minimal problems so this build thread will be a very slow one.. atleast at first it will be.

Stay tuned for more updates!! [emoji4]

These are really nice looking. However, they only make an open look for the smaller tanks right now which I'd prefer a closed cabinet type. Also, they don't even have release dates for them yet! I wonder how much they're going to sell them for. They do look pretty sweet

The only issue I'm seeing(which isn't a big one) is that the back divider for the chambers is slightly crooked so the lid doesn't fit 100%

all I really have to do is just shave a little off the lid and it should fit perfectly.

I can't decide on which skimmer to buy tho. I'm looking between both Fluval models made for the Evo tank. Only a few $ separates them so I'm kinda stumped. Ones rated for 10-20g tanks and the other is rated for up to 40g

Not that I'm gonna be filling the tank anytime soon since I still need to find a stand I like but when the time comes, I won't need the skimmer on right? It's been so long since I've cycled a tank lol
