NewSalt (Mike) says: I've had aquariums since I was 13 years old. My first aquarium was a 10g tank that my parents got for me from a local pet shop. That tank ran for about 20 years. For most of that time it was a community tank. After I got married, I sold the 10g and got a 15g High. I used that tank for fancy goldfish. In Nov. of 2003 I took the step I want to take all along and started a FOWLR saltwater tank using the 15g. Well, after that I was hooked. In June of 04, I switched to a 50g reef which was mostly soft corals. That wasn't enough. In April of 06 I started the construction of the existing wall unit to house my current 120g. It's a Perfecto 120g which is 60"x18"x26". This was my first experience with SPS corals. I'm using two 250W Reeflux 12k MHs w/ two 110W Super Actinic VHO's. I use a MRC Mr-2 skimmer and an MRC CR-2 Calcium Reactor. The tank will be running for two years this August. Almost time for a new tank! |
