    leds for the swap

Ok we have been working hard with suppliers and have come up with some pretty good deals on leds. these will be preorder prices payed up front for the swap. At the swap or after prices will go back up. If you are not attending the swap and preorder you will recieve the prices but will have to pick up from us or we can ship for additional costs to you.
so this is what we were able to work out.

we first will be offering a 55 3watt bridgelux fixture.
    30 white 15-20k
    25 blue 460nm
    reflectors
    aluminum housings
    heat sinks
    cooling fans
the best part a manufacturers 3 year warranty. awsome.. price for pre orders....169.00
if you are a light sps keeper these are for you. these will work wonders for lps, softies, zoos, shrooms etc..

The second led fixture is a 55 3watt CREE CHIP..leds
    30 white 15-20k
    25 blue 460nm
    aluminum housings
    reflectors
    heat sinks
    cooling fans
these come with a manufactures 1 year warranty but can be upgraded to a 2year for 10%

if your into sps heavy these are for you..
    swap preorder price....259.00

after the swap these lights will go up to 179.00 for the bridgelux and 279.00 for the crees.

Hmm, I have quite a few questions if you don't mind.

    1. Do you have any pictures of these fixtures?
    2. How about dimensions of the units and coverage area per unit?
    3. Are these controllable/dimmable? If so, is controller included? If not, are the white/blue at least on separate power cords?
    4. Do they come with hanging kit and/or rails?
    5. Your lists show "reflectors". Does that mean lenses? If so, what degree lenses are included?
    6. Any par data on them?

Sorry, I know that's a lot, but most of it is critical info needed when considering an LED fixture purchase. Thanks in advance.

The warranty on the Cree fixture is only a yr. I think the familiar ones were 3 yrs for both the b-lux & the Crees...fwiw

    ok so heres the deal..

we have been working with a couple suppliers.
were trying to bring you the best possible choices for leds at a very reasonable price.

the first led that was offered ( bridgelux) is from one supplier who offers a three year warranty. They make cree fixtures also but only make a cree 40 x 3 watt 1:1 ratio white and blue. They offer a three year warranty which is awsome.
I can order these if that is what you want.

the second supplier offers a 55 x 3watt cree fixture which gives you more light to your tank but only comes with a 1 year warranty. 10 % more for a second year.

maybe its me but 55 cree leds over 40 sounds like a deal for around the same price.

I can order which ever you would like. if the quantities are there the prices are close to the same.

Both are aluminum housings so no rust. aluminum heat sinks three cooling fans two power cords and switches. none are dimmible at this point.

As we stated earlier if you intend on keeping large amounts of sps go for the crees.
55 x 3 watts your sps will be in heaven,..

if your a mixed tank as most of us are than go for the 55 3 watt bridglux. you wil not bleach out your corals...and the ratios chosen give your tank a nice clean crisp look..

If there is different ratios of blues to whites you want I can make that happen too. I can also get various kelvin choices on the whites also. next one down would be a 12-15k.

I will post all specs and pics tomorrow on all the fixtures.

ok so to answer a couple more questions.

the fixtures come with hanging kits..
the lenses can be ordered by you from 60 to 120 deg. your choice.

people seem more interested in the warranty of three years so the cree fixtures we will offer will be the 40*3watt with a three year warranty. will get pics up later today..

i can answer one more also.. the coverage area is 2' x2' so for a four foot tank 2 units are needed 3 for a six foot.
I do not have par ratings.
