I had the yellow for awhile. I added the purple with a couple other fish (gold rim which died due to ich, and some others) always seems good to add multiple tangs if possible. A mirror helps too

My fiancé has been asking for a yellow tang, but I've been resisting since I already have a purple and a hippo. I think I may have mollified her, as I recently intro'd a one-spot foxface. I think she'll like the yellow, he's always out and about, and he absolutely holds his own against the tangs (venom helps)

I think you made a good move. The yellow and purple would probably not be a good idea.

Ha, I just realized this was bob's tank thread. Thats what I get for not reading. I guess a Yellow and Purple can get along, and the kole to boot. That was where I had my problems, between the Yellow and the Kole.

My kole is actually in my smaller tank. The purple and yellow are actually good. My yellow and my scopas tang a little different story. The yellow bullies him ever so often.

So I have changed some stuff again (again) no more biopellets being the biggest thing. I was still having problems with sps bleaching. Well after I removed them I still having some problems. I was originally thinking it was low phosphates so I removed biopellets. But today I bought a hanna alk checker, turns out my alk was/is low 7.5 I know this is low would this be the reason for some stl?

That is on the low range but should not be causing the problems. A lot of europeans swear by running alk at 7 to 7.5.
