The ones I ordered from eBay two weeks ago were the new model 2017. I think you will get the correct ones.

Packing seemed pretty solid, until I removed the 1st unit from the box. Apparently one of the magnets got stuck to one another, so when I tried to take them apart, the inner rubber cushion tore..so 1 20171223_132429.jpg 20171223_132434.jpg piece of it is stuck on the other side

Well that isn't to hard to fix. How does it run? Is this the new improved model?

Also just by holding it, compared to the gyre, you can tell and feel it's alot less sturdy...the dry side magent, for example is alot more flimsy 20171223_135539.jpg
The one on the right is the gyre dry side

Here is a pic of the unit that I received, not sure about which model I got. Also a few shots of them in the box, the controllers and what not

It's pretty long...I would say that they are longer than my old gyre....

When the lights turn on, I'm going to take more pix. But as of right now here are my thoughts

    Pros:

    • these pumps move water. When I 1st installed them, not realizing I had it upside down, when I plugged It in I shot a bunch of water straught out of my tank and onto my floor.
    • I like the east control options. The contollers has 4 settings, H- fixed maximum flow rate mode W1-classic wave, W2-direct reverse wave (gyre), W3-fixed wave move. All modes can be changed by pushing the color button and adjusted with the dial 20171223_132819.jpg
    • The unit came fully assembled so it was just plug n play

    Pros (cont.)
    • The pumps have self protective functions in case they run out of water. The pump will shut off when out for more that 10 seconds.
    • Magnet, though flimsy seems to be very, very song so I don't forsee this moving or falling off
