Pex or PVC

Today my brother was over for my daughter's party. We got talking about my tank and I was telling him about my new pump. I also told him I plan on pulling the hoses out and putting in PVC. He suggested that I should look into PEX. It seem like PEX is a neat system and I should be able to mount it to the stand for a clean look. Thoughts?

I have heard people discuss this before and it usually comes to the same conclusion. The pex connectors have brass/copper in them making them not a very good idea for our tanks.

thanks. I have just started my research into the pex and was wondering about those connections. Thanks again. Might just stick to the PVC route.

I think you would also find it difficult to find appropriate valves with pex. PVC is simple and inexpensive.

Not to mention that I think the smallest length of Pex is 100 feet. Although I wouldn't be a bit surprised is someone sells it by the foot. Go PVC!
