Bonsai Reef

Red slime remover has worked wonders for me. Had to battle cyano at least once every two years and red slime remover did the job everytime

I need a fish sift sand but does not broadcast it everywhere.

Amado do you have one? How it’s doing with you?
I have this guy; Banded Sleeper Goby, Brownbarred Goby - Amblygobius phalaena , and he's working out well for me. It spends all day working and spends most of it's time out front where I can enjoy him. It hovers close to the bottom, and while it gets sand on corals on the sand bed it's not a storm. Assorted mushrooms, zoas, palys, polyups have been getting sand on them and I see no negative affects on them. I got it a Sea Level. I was there yesterday and they have plenty in stock. Smalls for $30 and bigger ones for $60. They have diamonds in stock too, $60. I'd been wanting a sand sifting goby, but didn't want the nice new meat coral I'd gotten from @brokereefer disturbed. After a conversation with him, as he has a diamond, I did it. Maybe we're more sensitive to sand on the corals then they are.

It hasn't been so bad lately after I syphoned out most of it. I actually have red slime remover but will try to fix it by other means. The cyano tend to disappear by itself if the condition is good.

cool fish. Either that or the diamond. I have almost nothing on the sandbed. I think I have seem these fish and wonder why people would buy them.

An algae blenny is added. I have some hair algae on the rocks. Bought 3 emerable crabs they just disappeared. A blenny will add a lot of interest to the tank. But this one has a sunken belly. Hopefully it will survive.

ACC was having a snail sale in the weekend. Not the $1 one but cheap enough. Bought a bunch, much needed.

I have a starry blenny. Named him Ugly Vinny. Great personality. When I feed the tank it comes and nips on my hand and will sit in my hand. Love this fish.

The diamond goby doing what it does. It has really made a nice cave for itself after exploring different part of the tank. I have no corals on the sand bed except a couple of ricordias. maybe i will destroy his home hurricane ida style and see it got rebuilt …

this is taken from my webcam.

So I thought the corals look good but just the SPS not doing too much. Haven't measured ALK for a long time so figure I would check. 5.2 DKH. I guess it's time to dose now :)
