    Pex or PVC

    I have heard people discuss this before and it usually comes to the same conclusion. The pex connectors have brass/copper in them making them not a very good idea for our tanks.

    Looks good man!! I usually upload directly from my iPhone. I click upload file and choose photo library and select my pictures from there. Hope this helps or someone familiar with uploading from Flickr can help out.

    The Hand Me Down 75g Upgrade

    I wouldn't risk restricting the drain. I would first try putting a ball valve on the return and turning that down a bit. Next I would make a true durso standpipe to replace the ones that come with the tank. Most people seem to have difficulty with the stock standpipes.

    You can try stuffing the silencer with filter floss or even cotton balls to try and quiet it down some. For the drain it's normal for air to be in the pipe. What kind of overflow are you using? Congrats on the upgrade!!
