That's something that can be debated all day. Many people love metal halide and wouldn't switch. The same debate goes for t5 and LEDs as well. I love my t5's and it will take a lot for me to get rid of them. I think your choice of the MH/reefbrite combo fixture is a great choice.

As far as the ecotech vs jebao goes, the saying you get what you pay for really comes into play. I have both a jebao wp25 I believe in my frag tank and 2 ecotech mp10's in the display. The ecotechs look much nicer, are built better, are more programmable, and come from a company that stands...

You can also look into "lamp trees" for hanging the lights above the tank. I believe cad lights makes them. I had a buddy weld me up a set. The basically mount to the back of the stand and 90 out over the tank and that's where you hang the lights. It's a good look and no holes in the wall or...
