You could really go either way. There are a lot of good used DSLRs on the market. I think it depends on how much you have to sink into the camera/lens package. You could easily get a used DSLR (D40/D80) or a new DSLR (D60/D90) with an all around lens (18-200) to get you started and pick up a...

Each feed of the system drains back into the sump (with the exception of the phosban reactor which drains into the fuge).

I would hold it there for at least 12 hours and then drop it another degree every 12 hours or so. It would be horrible to lose SPS with the temperature drop.
