If you want an instant cycle, you can buy a bag of BIO-Speria and add things the next day. I never did the shrimp thing so not sure. I'm impatient and used Bio-Speria on all my starting up tanks.

You have 2 other power supplies coming off of that outlet . So when you correct this one, 2 others will be corrected.

The white wires should always be on the same side as the green ground screew.

The 3 black wires should be on the other side where the white wires are and visa versa.

I would check your circuit breaker first since you found a few outlets like that. They all might be on the same breaker and it might be wired backwards. Looking at the back of the outlet, the neutral (white wire) should always be wired to the same side as the ground wire is on. (green screew)...

You found the problem. You have to switch the wires around.
