Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
I'm not picturing this... How tall are your ceilings down there? Where will the lights be if the 125s are above the tank? Above as in over? Or above as in higher, but behind? Do you have drawings yet (you must be sketching this by now, no)?
Meeting at Jeff's in January. Just bring your...
That sounds great, Jeff. That small span of shift seems like it would be perfect. I'm sure you're already studying Sanjay's lighting charts! It seems to me that most ballast/bulb combinations consume far more than the 250w per bulb that they claim!
Red Dragons will definitely give you the bang...
Yeah that light rail really spoke to me too. And the price was really great. Jeff, how would you feel about only 1/3-1/2 of your tank being lit up at a given time? That's the one thing that makes me think I wouldn't want it on my display.
Hey Boomer! Welcome to NJRC. Glad you found your way over. I look forward to seeing you around here more often. I like your new hat, btw.
Carlo, we've been considering an advanced topics forum around here. I think if Boomer wants to stick around it would be a lock!
You should add a 210! I know where you can get a really nice one for a great price!

When we take a tank in to refill it they ALWAYS replace it. We never get our tank back (which was a real drag the first time we handed them a brand spanking new tank). Your pressure guage/solonoid screws onto the valve there in the photo.
I love your AC stats at the bottom of your post. Fun...
Russ, we had a great time with you guys. Pesky hotel staff, not withstanding.
Definitely already looking forward to Atlanta where we'll have to be sure to book all of the surrounding rooms, in addition to the rooms on the floors above and below! LOL!
Ahh the little last minute projects! Looking forward to the meeting on Sunday. It will be a great time to recap some of what we learned and saw at MACNA.
The rule of thumb I've heard is that your Ca will be at most roughly 1/3 of your magnesium. With "off the charts" magnesium, you're more likely to be able to support a very high Ca than with low magnesium. What media are you using? I'd suspect the test results and want to verify the test results...
