I don't like the coralife skimmers personally,I know people that use them and like them and I know others that regret buying them.

I'll second the service, I had the same problem and they handeled it the same way.

Both skimmers are great don't think you would see much difference unless you went with a different pump and overdrove the skimmer. I would take the better deal because ETSS under rates their skimmers as far as tank size.

You'll know when the sump buddy 40 is working,mine took about 7-10 days to really start cranking now I pull 1 gallon per week of mud through it.

I have and still run an air driven skimmer on my 75,I love them never any problems. I do however have the new ETSS sump buddy 40 on my 120 but 25 years ago when I had my first reef, venturi skimmers didn't exist I would hook up the "old school" skimmer run it with a tetra luft air pump variable...

I've had pistols in reefs before with no problems,now you just need yo get him a goby friend.The yashi gobies are nice a little pricey but well worth the money.Can't really comment on the nem. not 100% sure of it.

Yes on pistol,not sure of the nem. what size is it and is the color actually blue?

I made it the 1 and 1/2 times the size of the actual spacing between the bulkheads.

If you want a tang that will eat it for sure go for a lopezi (aka blue lip) tang.

When I did my stand I cut 1 large oval so if needed I could get to both bulkheads.

I wouldn't own a system without one.
