Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Re: Multible Angels
We have one angel, a flame. Seems like a model citizen. We had another one for about 12 hours. Then she jumped out of the tank to her death. I think she was forced out by the flame.
NJRC has been selected as one of three clubs that ReefCentral has chosen to help them roll out a new Premium Member feature.

Let's make them happy they picked us!
Nope. As John mentioned, we're re-scaping the 120 (and probably the 65 too). Definitely dreading the move to the new rock almost as much as I'm excited by it.
Our box of rock didn't make the order for whatever reason so we took a mix of everything. Sorta hodge podge. Honestly? I have NO idea what any of it is! Some nice looking pieces though. One of these days I'll have to scrape the debris off of it and get it ready to go in the tank! :)
Rev, I split this out so that it could get better attention.
I haven't used mud in any of my systems. We had gotten some as a donation at one point and gave it away in raffles, but I'm not sure if it was ever used.
It would be great to hear from people with reef mud experience.
Re: March Frag Swap: Fear not!
We've got an order with Reefer Madness for the meeting. The top 40 frags will be raffled and the rest sold to members (should be getting 50+ frags)!
Arvin, That dead fish will likely cause an ammo spike in that water by Saturday. I would take it out. It would serve you better in the garden. You don't want ammo in that fuge and unless you're going to change the water over before you integrate it into your system.
There seems to be a lot of pertinent information in this thread:

Good luck!
For baffles in a sump, plexi is working fine for us. I wouldn't use plexi to glass on anything that HAD to hold water (like an external overflow box, for example).
John can help you get teeth cut when you're ready.
If a 38 is the biggest box you can get into your stand then I'd say it is...
Looks like you should be able to have a place for the drains/skimmer, one section for fuge and the third section for the return. Are the baffles already in place? Looks good to me! The one problem that I see is that keeping the fuge contents contained can be a bit of a pain as they tend to take...
A SWAP with no SWAPPING?! There must be people with zoos to swap, no? How about their SPS? New cast of characters at every meeting, even posting up last month's pictures may get you a new trade or two!
Whoah! That is one SUPER long thread! He started that thread in January. Does anyone know if he's updated his data yet? I can't read through that 14 page "discussion" to find it!
Rev, is there a picture or link for us? I'm hanging on the edge of my seat here!
If you're going to use a mag pump it won't matter much whether you go internal or external. They're water cooled and will heat the water no matter where they are. There might be a negligable amount of heat that...
Tom, You may well win the Prettiest Silicone Award. I've seen some pretty bad silcone jobs (around our house, lol). You definitely wanted that first baffle stop to be higher to force the air to the surface. If you find you're having micro bubble problems you could always add more plexi/glass...
