Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
I must say Aquatic Obsessions is my store of choice for many of the reasons stated by other people above. I've been going there since jazzsam told me about the place. They have a great selection. great prices. and best of all you always see a member of this club there and you spend plenty of...
Not much going on really. I need to buy lights and i'm kinda putting it off for a few months. I'm just using a 4' T5 fixture from my 75g as temporary lighting. I'm not putting any of my corals in here until i get my new lights in a few months. Just wanted to update with my newest purchase. It's...
your tank looks great, but i would maybe slow down a little. you've added a lot in such a short time and it's very easy in this hobby to have your tank crash. I would just sit back and enjoy it for a little while. good luck.

This economy right now does kinda suck. I need a new light for my tank but i'm holding off until the new year when i find out if i will get a raise and or bonus. My property taxes are almost 9,000 and i have to pay for most services seperately. The main issue that is killing taxpayers (besides...
good luck with the upgrade. I went from a 75 to a 215 and kinda felt the same as you with the overwhelmed feeling. but now it's just a walk in the park and i feel the 215 isn't big enough.
Harry
That's actually a great idea, but if you didn't raise it perfectly level the fish could go underneath it. i would prefer that they didn't get in there in the first place so i'm going to cover the overflows
thanks
Harry
I got him out, i had to remove the durso and it still took me 10 minutes to get him. its not so easy reaching down 30" in a confined space.
David thats a great idea, I have to look for a little basket like that
thanks for all the help everyone
Harry
for an insump skimmer you can't really beat it for the money, not that 400+ is cheap. I do love it. It works like a champ, i don't regret buying it at all. good luck with whatever skimmer you decide to go with.

I would have to agree on the identity. they look identical to the picture of fish in the link. you might want to let the LFS know so they can modify the label
Harry
It doesn't really look like a green chromis from it's body shape or the stripes on it's body. It looks more like a different type of damsel maybe. But then again it might just be an uncommon chromis. What color are they?
Harry
i would remove the crab, better safe then sorry. And besides it's easier to remove them before they go in your tank. IMO if i didn't know what something was it wouldn't go in my tank.
Harry
I would definately do the tank versus the TV. I would not use anything on the bottom if your going BB. sorry about the fish loss, i've been there so i know it sucks
good luck
With the O/N shipping amount being charged in excess of 30+ dollars now, your probably better off getting them at your LFS. They are generally pretty cheap and it might work out in your favor even if they are a little more at the LFS versus online. On the other hand i did buy from...
Well the sucky part of setting up a new tank is occuring....The dreaded diatom algae invasion has started. Hopefully it won't be too bad and they won't last too long, it's all part of the fun. I guess it's time to add the snails and let them do their job. This is really one of the parts I really...
