Yea i know they make nice stuff. I got an email from Tenecor the other day telling me how AFY closed it's doors due to a bad economy and rising materials cost and that they will be offering "special discounts" and try to work with AFY customers that are stuck. if someone paid AFY why would...
I totally agree, I've used Bernie numerous times. I would recommend him in a heartbeat.
Anthony i'm glad you like the rock. it's really nice rock

At least i got my sump that i ordered from them. Of course i had to mod it to work and downsize my pump, but i really feel for all the people that aren't going to get anything that they paid for. And i think IMO we will never hear from Minotaur15 again, but he might surprise us.
Harry
Rich, this wouldn't surprise me if in fact they do this. It's a crappy way to do business and you end up ripping off lots of people. And based on my own experience your perception of the company is spot on.
Harry
I just read that they closed up shop and declared bancruptcy. Does anyone know for 100% certainty that they are closed. If it is true, i feel bad for all people losing out on product ordered and employees involved. Base on my experience i'm not all that surprised though.

yes you need to go the water change route and also you can currently do water changes in your establiched tank and save that water so you would have more aged water. For instance if you had 100 gallons of water from water changes (50 from tank and 50 saved from water changes) , you would only...
you need to remove anything organic material on there and scrub it good and then let it recure. If you leave anything that was alive and it's decaying it will take a long time for it to be usable again
good luck
Harry
sorry to say nothing but better flow and phosphate reduction. maybe you have some dead spots in your tank that you don't realize even with the large water flow
Thanks
Harry
well leaks aside and much frustration with my cursed sump, i decided to sell my pump and get a smaller one. I've come to the realization that the return chamber on my sump is too small for the blueline 70HD. back to the drawing board. It looks like i'm gonna go with the 55HD instead.
Thanks
Harry
I didn't have it in an email but i'm sure i mentioned to them what kinda pump i was using but who knows, knowing me i'm almost 99% positive i did. I ask a ton of questions. I know for a fact that they never asked me what kind of pump i am using (an important fact i would think in hindsight)...
man this really sucks, all this extra work just because a certain company doesn't have a clue about building sumps, at least mine anyway. thanks for all the input everyone
