I found that my overflow was very loud just due to the water flow going into the overflow. So when I saw Hawkeye's return was T'd off to run a reactor that is what I did. It was just enough to slow down the volume and noise.
I followed Mike's advice and use the yellow reef crest, I keep it pretty low because it is my safety pump in the case of a blown GFI. Gives it more time to run on a lower speed.
If you don't need it right away why not wait until Champion comes out with their product...plus we will be having a group buy with them sooner or later.
Actually it is better...I don't understand why they went backwards but chloramine is more stable and harder to get out.

I used two for temporary tanks when I went from my 24g to my 120g had all the live rock I bought in them along with some corals that I ran across just before my tank got set up. Worked fine just don't overfill.
