well I got my ICP test results. it looks like I have low iodine. In my last tank I had a refugium so I would dose iodine to get the macro algae to grow. This tank has no refugium so I am not sure I will dose any iodine.

I have 3 kessil 360x from my last tank.
but those lights are not strong enough to penetrate a 30”deep tank. So they will move to the frag tank and I will looking into buying a new kessil AP9x and set that up in the middle with two 360x on the side.
I have a seneye as a par meter and that works really good for me. If you could find a used seneye I would recommend it.

I could also get 3 used AP700 and that should also reach the bottom and give me the spread I need.
I would save and go with the ap9x!! Iam thinking of buying one myself!!

Awesome fish room. When the kids are older and on their way outta the house I hope to do something similar in my basement!

Thank you it’s a work in progress.
I got lucky that my new house the basement had a low ceiling so I really couldn’t do much else.

I have a AP700 in the middle of the 210
But I am also looking at that kessil. I don’t need anything fancy since it inside a canopy
But I really like that light.

The coverage is really supposed to be great with the ap9x so would be good for that deep tank of yours.i understand where your coming from.

Ok so today I did a water change.
I also received my eb832 and eb8 from Neptune. They fixed both.

They also replaced my trident with a new one. The new trident is up and running it working the way it should be.

Hanna alk was 8.5
Trident is 8.15
I still have to calibrate it let’s see how it goes in the next few days.

Well I was not home for Labor Day and that’s the day my Neptune apex base station decided to die. It looks like it lost connection around 1pm. I didn’t get home till around 7pm all my live stock was good but my apex was down. I had to open up a ticket with Neptune. They gave me a choice to purchase a refurbished apex base station.
It was only $50 cheaper than buying one retail so I decided to pass.

So my alk was low at 7 so I did a 50 gallon water change using instant ocean reef crystals and now my alk is 12

Thats why I don’t like using that salt the numbers are always crazy.

I know some people are ok with high alk but 12 is a little high.

So I am turning off the dos and let it come down naturally

So here are some tank shots. The tank is still empty. But it’s good to see the progress.

I got done with work early so I had some free time so I picked up some frags.

Everyone has their own system of how to dip and acclimate corals.

I had good luck with revive from two little fish so I use that.
I also dip in seachem reef dip it’s basically iodine.
