Does it turn on and off, but no power comes from outlets?

I’m running on errands on a spare, parts arrived about to do this:

Yeah this is what’s happening with my eb832.
It’s out of warranty but Neptune already fixed this one time
So I am going to see if they can fix it

Curious what they’re gonna charge you for the repair. $15 got me two power boards and two fans.

So I lost power on Wednesday for a few hours.
We had a tree down. It happened at 3am.
I have a generator so I was able to get my return pumps
Back working.
When the power came back on. I noticed one of my
Eb832 wasn’t working. It’s the same one that gave me problems before. I was going to replace it with another eb832 but I decided not to do that.

Instead I think I am going to replace it with something else.
To manage the pumps. I think I am going to buy the coralvue hydros wave engine. This will get rid of a lot of these power cables and it will allow me to have all my pumps in one place.

I am also cleaning my wavemakers.
I put them in a bucket with vinegar and hot water
For a few hours for each pump. I use mostly
Jebao wavemakers and they work for my setup.
I have been using vinegar to clean pumps for years.
I have never lost a pump so at $2 a bottle it’s my go to.

Lmk how you like the hydros controller. Gl

@brokereefer was kind enough to give me a nano tank that he wasn’t using. It’s a 10 gallon JBJ. It came fully loaded with everything including lights. ( compact t5)
This is my first nano tank. I will set it up as a coral qt tank
And fish observation tank.

I will add water today from the main system.

Cleaning my skimmers today.
You had to see the look the electrician had.
When I told him I wanted a plug above the sink.
He couldn’t understand why anyone would need one. Lol

For me this has made cleaning pumps/skimmer and frag racks super easy.

So I added a Red Sea 20 gallon. This will be my qt tank.
It’s not part of the system. It’s a stand alone all in one.
It comes with everything I need skimmer/return pump/socks. I am using a kessil 150 to light the tank.
Right now I have some test zoa frags to see how they do.
I was able to use some bio balls I had in my sump.

My orp has dropped like 50. Since removing
My rocks in the frag tank. Nothing else has changed.
I just removed the rocks from that frag tank.

It looks like the rocks was doing a good job of cleaning the water. My ph has also dropped. So the rocks buffered the ph.

Let’s see if I can get it back up in the next few days.

I know everyone now wants to use less rocks in their builds.
But I think that’s a bad idea. Rocks are necessary in a reef tank.

I still can't get my ORP to touch 400 even after refreshed carbon. I agree rock is important for stability. I'm not a fan of the minimalistic aquascape because hopefully in a few years it will all be grown out and you won't see much of the rock anyway.

It’s not just carbon. You have to run resin and GFO.

I do run GFO but not resin. Where in your sump do you have your probe?

I have a very large sump. With nothing in it.
My refugium is in a separate tank. My sump only holds my skimmer and two 300w heaters.

I finally got around to ordering the BRS 150 gallon water saver upgrade kit for my 7 stage RODi. I watched the video and it was easy to install. I am making water now let’s see how fast I can make a 50 gallon barrel.

It’s the end of the month so I have to change carbon and GFO. I will leave the resin in the reactor since it’s still good for another month.

i assume the water saver doesnt have as much waste water? Curious on how that works for you as i would be interested in one.

I would say it’s worth it. It makes water twice as fast.
I made 50 gallons of rodi water in 2hr. I should have made this purchase earlier. I am not using a booster pump.

How many psi do you have coming in ? I believe they call for 65 psi and above to the 1st membrane right? I sit at right around 55 and have been wondering if I could get away with it that or would need the booster pump. I have already purchased the second membrane kit needed to upgrade my 75 GPD system to 150 GPD , but have held off installing due to possible low pressure.
