How many psi do you have coming in ? I believe they call for 65 psi and above to the 1st membrane right? I sit at right around 55 and have been wondering if I could get away with it that or would need the booster pump. I have already purchased the second membrane kit needed to upgrade my 75 GPD system to 150 GPD , but have held off installing due to possible low pressure.

So I get 60 psi but maybe I do need a pump?
I will keep monitoring it. In the winter I get less.

Hey Amado, I know you're over in North Edison and I just rec'd this alert on my phone:

EDISON TWP: Boil water advisory update: the advisory is for NJ American Water customers in North Edison only. Please contact NJAW for any questions.

Don't know what it means for your tanks....

I'll also state this....RO produces sterile water. They can't claim this because of the nonsense of claim support, but it's true. But for human consumption out of the tap, I'd boil.

Hey thanks for the heads up.
It’s funny I live here and I didn’t get a warning.
I did see a lot of Middlesex water trucks around my neighborhood. I am not making any water for my tank at this moment so we should be ok.

So I am getting ready for my bi-monthly water change.
I was able to move some lights around. I added two 360x to the 120. So that tank will have light now.
I sold my kessil AP700 and I purchased the new
AP9x and I set that up with my existing 2 x 360x.

Good lucking Amado!
This light looks like a great one…

I personally think it’s the same light as the AP700
Just in a smaller slick design. The build in wi-fi is a plus.
I was able to use the kessil app to configure all my light.
So that’s also good.

So I got this copper band about a month ago.
I kept him in observation tank. I was able to get him to eat LRS and he also cleaned a few rocks with aptasia.
So I will move him to one of the frag tanks. I will
Continue to monitor his behavior and get him fat before
I add him to the display

I was too cheap to order the frag racks with the letters and numbers. So I glued some letter and numbers from Etsy to frag plugs and then put it on the frag rack.

I think it looks good.

Amado, mines around 50 normally so I got that aqua buddy pump years ago. It gets it up to 100psi, and really sped up the filter. it’s supposed to make less waste, but I didn’t do a before and after so I don’t know if that’s true.

So I had some free time today. So I did a 50 gallon water change.
I replaced the heater that went bad. I removed the cheato from the refugium
And got some dragons breath. I was also able to pick up a
Black widow anemone from PoeticInjustice.

So I am replacing my 5 gallon buckets of esv 2 part.
the alk ran out completely the calcium bucket still had some. these 5 gallon buckets lasted me almost a year lol.

I also picked up two Kessil 360x so now all my tanks have lights.
I moved a tang over and I am moving some frags slowly.

good idea about deading the lighting for 90 days, I may go that route as well. my wife is big on huge arches and glueing rocks. I just stack them, but I do make caves and small arches etc for my fish to hide in.

yeah I think my old rocks are from Tampa Bay, just tons of life on them, they're at least 5 years in use. really nice color on them too. way too many worms imo though. also I don't like the sponges on them either. I'll try to address those issues before using them if I end up using them at all.

hate algae. am dealing with a ton of it in my nano. used chemiclean for the brown algae, cleared that right up. now m having a bad outbreak of green hair, already cleaned out the entire tank twice, hopefully this time I used enough peroxide to kill everything. will also cut down my light. I think the fixture I have on there is way too powerful and probably causing most of the issues.

I'm running carbon, gfo and matrix with only two clownfish 4 or 5 mixed snails and 50% weekly water changes. the only weak link is that I'm using ro and not di. but I ordered my di canister so closing out that issue in the next week or so.

yeah as far as lighting I found a super cheap solution. 100w Nicrew HyperReef LED on Amazon is definitely strong enough to light up 30". they are just $120 so 3 are only $360. that's less than the cost of just a single ai32, but it does lack Bluetooth and timer.

I have one on my nano. I would have brought it to the last meet, I didn't know there was going to be a par meter there. would really love to have it tested.i think one of the guys here said something about testing without a par meter?
I've been interested in that light. I'm building a frag tank and it was between those and t5s. I went with t5s

I just sold it. it's an extremely powerful light. I measured it with the 410 meter and was getting tons of par with white on lowest setting and blue just above 50%
