Started putting together my rock scape. Here’s what I threw together. Might not be bad.
not bad. Is that table the size of your tank? If not I seen people put tape down (like blue painter tape) to mark their tank size so they can have a better idea how it will look in the tank.

The tape idea was great. I had green laying around. Not that visible on camera. Like you said, blue would be preferable. I’m fairly happy with the scape. I can’t get pictures that captures it very well.

I like where you're going with your rockscape. It's looking great you're planning it well! I save that step, I got my son-in-law to scape my tank for me. I'll brag and send you a pic in this thread. I hope you're not jealous. If you like it and want some ideas I can try and get him to read this thread and maybe give you some ideas. That is if you like my tank the way it is it's still brand new. I should take that back I actually got this tank from Giovanni he's also a member. It's new to me and of course the scape is better than what he had sorry Giovanni. My son-in-law is just really good at what he does. He has Horticulture training. Let me know what you think of my tank I'll send you a pic.

The above post is my new tank. I just got it on Sunday. We broke down to Giovanni's tank and reinstalled it the same day. With drive time and everything the whole process started at 9am and we got 90% complete by 9pm and went to bed. I'll be posting full pictures and my whole story on tail at the tank still working on it. I should have it up by the end of this month. I hope you follow it maybe that might help you with your tank install. Reach Out by p.m. if you need any help or have questions or if you're close enough maybe my son-in-law might be able to give some suggestions in person. Let me know in a p.m. if we can help! Always glad to do anything I can.

Thank you I appreciate you liking my tank scape. I responded to your p.m. the rest of this thread should be all about your tank. Sorry I took over I'm glad we're talking in a p.m.

Here is the progress on the tank so far from Alex @ IOA. He still has to paint the back & finish up a few details, but this is the basic layout.

A suggestion IMO and strickly IMO would be to break down the rocks a little so you get more places to place corals. From how it seems you don't have much room to work with.

Yea I’ve beem messing with it. I’m not too thrilled with anything I’ve come up with. This is my latest revision. The rocks are on pvc spacers for pistol shrimp/ watchman goby habitat. They hate it when they dig out the sand and the rocks cave in on them.

Looks great!
I agree it looks great. Just keep this thread updated with text and what's going on. Everyone's learning here I don't think there's anyone that knows everything everyone has some kind of question. And might learn something.

Another scape revision with different rocks. Im actually happy with it. It has a decent amount of surface for coral. Anyone have any suggestions before I add sand and water? Not going to offend me, if you see a problem, let me know.
