Tank has been up almost two years... Nice big SPS colonies.. Got a Calcium reactor a while back cause I just couldn't keep up with the tanks calcium consumption. Was letting my controller monitor PH of reactor and add CO when PH got to about 6.9 to keep PH like 6.5. Worked good for a bit... But...
Been doing the Garlic thing... This fish eats like a champ so, its not hard to get him to eat it. I'm in the process of setting up a second tank but it wouldn't matter cause theres no way in hell I'll be able to fish him outta there. I'm not gonna start uprooting almost 200lbs of rock to catch...
Thanks for the replies... And, I know in a perfect world, I would have quarateened the fish before putting him in the tank... But, now lets cut to reality. I dont have a qt tank. Did anybody ever try garlic soaked food? Did it work?
I just found a 55 gallon tank, stand, and canopy in a dumpster by my house. Its gods way of saying I needed to set up a second tank!LOL... Am not gonna drill it so, I need:
-Hang on back overflow
-Sump
-Four foot T5 strip or compact flourecents
Or anything else that might work for me... Please...
[font=Verdana][flash=200,200]Hey, can anybody tell me why I would need a calcium reactor? Has anybody used one and seen tremendous results? For that matter, with regular water changes my calcium level is usually around 440ppm? So, I should never need a reactor or kalkwasser right?
Hey all,
Am looking to buy mushrooms, polyps, or any other soft coral frags for my new reef. Am willing to travel and would like to get frags ASAP.
Thanks for looking,

Ok, I wimped out and spent the money on sand today. Just wanted to say thanks for your help. Even though I don't need it now, I'm gonna have a friend from the local high school analyze the depot sand in the chemistry lab. Will find out once and for all.
