    help with identification please

I use RO water, no hair algae, no diatoms, i done have an issue with water quality. I know this type of algae is part of nature, that's not my issue, so one shouldn't assume to know why i have an issue with it, I don't have any issue with any algae in moderation, i just don't want it all over my...

    help with identification please

hello all, I have this ugly brown hairy looking stuff growing all over the live rock in my tank. it's hard to scrape off and it's got little white hairs on it. I'm thinking it's some type of algae but i'm not sure. First an ID would be great and then if anyone can tell me how to get rid of it...

I'm new here. Need help building a 55 gallon reef tank

First off welcome to the club. The hole I believe for a 1" bulkhead is 1.5", mag 9 would probably be a good return pump maybe something smaller. I wouldn't do a canister filter, you don't really need it in a SW tank, My light preference is T5's but it's up to you on what type of light you get...

    help with feeding corals

That does suck, i wouldn't go back to that store if i was you. There are plenty of good reputable LFS around. This forum is a great place to learn and pick up information. don't be afraid to ask any questions, in this hobby there is no such thing as a stupid question. I've been in this hobby for...

    help with feeding corals

The sun coral and Elegance are generally hard to keep high maintenance corals. the sun coral for instance needs each head fed every nite in general if you miss a day here and there it's not a big deal. the elegance definitely needs to be target fed. in general if you have to ask how to feed...

Adding Live Rock to active tank

Adding more cured live rock shouldn't be a problem, make sure you add a little bit at a time and don't disturb the sand bed. Harry

    Please help

definitely reduce your bioload, it should help dramatically. I would get rid off all three tangs in my opinion. all three tangs get way too big for a 50 gallon tank. good luck Harry

    Reefer Relief

good topic, i actually sold my Oceanic 215 because we had a baby and didn't really have time for it. I setup my 75 so i got back into the hobby. It didn't cost me anything because i had all my old equipment. It is a lot cheaper to run than the 215 that's for sure. This isn't exactly the cheapest...

    need advice....PLEASE!

There's something out there called Aiptasia-X i believe. It's supposed to kill aiptasia dead and it's guaranteed to work, it says it's reef safe also. I know AO carries it. might be worth a shot. Harry
