Raising your dKH will not have any effect on hair algae - none. GAC, GFO, and lots of water changes are what most would likely recommend. If these methods fail, you may want to read up on lanthanum chloride. As mentioned above this is a nutrient issue. In terms of treating the symptoms, some...- mdw
