Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Hope you got things under control. I struggled with this problem and had some success with peroxide but this treatment would not last long. After going through tank blackouts and peroxide treatments, I just could not beat it until I broke down and got CHEMICLEAN. It did the trick but it took...

Anyone know if Amphipods are a food source for anemones? I have a few bugs cruising around my BTA and one was inside the tentacles of the anemone but seemed to escape without any noticeable harm.
Hey mark my thoughts are scraped them if they are on the front panel, otherwise leave them alone. When I scrape them the Midas makes a quick snack of them.
A few years ago I did this. I still have an account if you want check out "cachekestral". Planning to try it again once the kids get older. Maybe we setup a REEF KEEPER theme cache.

The DIY bio pellet reactor I setup is doing well. I read that you should have the bio pellet return as close to your skimmer inlet as possible so that it has a chance to remove any extra nutrients released by the pellets which is not consumed by the beneficial bacteria. Good luck.
I am dealing with a new tank that has some bacteria issues and trying out a UV sterilizer. It helps reduce the haze that collects on the glass. I will share my results as things progress.

Now cutting back on H202 and installed a UV sterilizer. So far I am impressed with the new water clarity. I am hoping it will make a difference with the cyao.

Sorry about that. My RBTA is doing its best to stay hidden. It is a real beauty I got from Pacific East Aquaculture.

Had a few snails die so it seems to be Dino after all. The fish and corals are doing just fine but I want to clean this out quickly so I started the treatment. H2O2 was introduced at 1ML per 10 gallons and I started the 72 hour black-out. Fingers crossed. :hopelessness:
