Someone had mentioned to me that it sounds similar to copper contamination...I'm at work, so once i get home i guess i'll double check to make sure nothing has fallen into the tank. If i find something with copper, am i completely doomed? Is there a test to find out if there is copper...

I'll do another 10 or 15 gallons tonight, and run some carbon too.

Also should add I had a hair algae problem for a few months, that I've finally gotten down to non visible in the display, and there was a lot in my fuge, which has all now started to wither away in the past week.

Whats happening: all my LPS, Zoas, hairy mushroom, and Kenya tree have closed up. My SPS have all started turning very pale. Turbo snails became catatonic (would fall to the ground and lay there, if you touched them they would flinch, but thats about it, now they're hermit food). Same happened...

I'll add the FINNEX protein skimmers are garbage...one came free with my sump, and i now know why. After 3 months, it hasn't produced a single ounce of foam. The adjustments only set the water level, and that doesn't produce any more/less. I'll be tossing it soon.

I wish I could, unfortunately my weekend's pretty tied up with birthday type events....but you can be sure to see me at the next one!

I'm feeling that my 20 gallon sump really isn't enough for me, and want to turn my old 55 into a sump, but i'm sure i'd be terrible at trying to install the baffles/dividers. Does anybody know of a shop or anyone that is pretty reputable, or at least will do better than me and not empty my wallet?
