thanks,I really have no idea how much live rock I have I would guess it to be around 100 lbs maybe more. I would assume the aquaclear is doing someething as it is all I have and I harvest lots of cheato from it.

hey,glad to see you are going the 40 breeder route. I am a firm believer in the virtues of this tank. I have been running probably the simplest setup around and it is going great. Be carefull about the budget though as there is no use in buying something and then having no resources for upkeep...

In my 40 breeder ,I change 5 gallons per week with nutri seawater and then topp off about five gallons of ro during the week.

Well for me anyway, this fish was the reason I got into the hobby,I was tempted many times but it just didn,t seem right. After a year of keeping my tank stable. and stocking levels low this morning I purchased a highly coveted mandarin{to me anyway}.wish me luck

I usoe an aquaclear110 on my 40 breeder. it is filled w mud and cheato. nothing else.I rely on water changes which are done w nutri sea water. the beauty of a small tank is the simplicity. you can check pictures under tale of the tank. My 40 breeder.
