    Tank meltdown!!!

No Corals...FOWLER. I will try the HYPOSalinity route. Again, 90 Gallon FOWLER...is there a method/gauge for lowering the Salinity? 2 gallons at a time? Salt out / Fresh in? What is the right/wrong way to do it? I have a refractometer to check with.

    Tank meltdown!!!

I can deal with that...would Copper affect my live rock / live sand? I would rather deal with replacing some snails, and a Scarlet Cleaner Shrimp.

    Tank meltdown!!!

Hyposalinity...lowering salinity...this will kill my live rock and live sand (another option I do not have). Can I do Copper alone with positive results?

    Tank meltdown!!!

I posted a few months back asking for ideas on how to catch a Hippo Tang getting too big for my tank (90G FOWLER). Shortly thereafter...during a routine water change, I decided to remove all the live rock and netted the tang and she has been relocated and is doing fine in a new 275G FOWLER...

    Spawning Clownfish

My pair spawn once a month. Doing this about a year now and they haven't figured out the "aerating" or "eating" part yet. No to mention it is too much work to harvest the eggs and get them to hatch. My Chocolate Chip Star or Turbo Snails know now to go to that spot once a month for some free...

    To "led"...or not to "led"...

I went to TROP yesterday and apparently the problem I am having is an ongoing issue with the Deep Blue 48". I wound up picking up the 48" to 60" Orbit Marine LED ($266) - running it at 60% and WOW what a difference. In the summer months had to leave the lid of my canopy open as yes the water...

    To "led"...or not to "led"...

OK here is where I am at...I currently have the 48" Deep Blue Professional SolarXtreme light (2 x Daylight + 2 x Actinic) and this fixture is coming up on 2 years old. A week ago I noticed my actinic's stopped working. Immediate assumption was 1 of the 2 actinic bulbs were out so I ran down to...

Need to catch a very timid 5" hippo tang

I have a 90 gallon FOWLER. My Hippo Tang (Dory) needs to come out as she is getting too big for the tank. She will be relocated to a 270 gallon tank in Middletown. The question / problem is catching her. Unless I am approaching the tank with food - she darts in the rocks until the coast...
