If you have 150 watt bulbs then they are DE (double ended) and unfortunately you will have to change both the ballast and sockets, the 250w DE bulbs have different ends than the 150w ones. If you had SE (single ended) bulbs (175w) then you could have just changed the ballast and bulbs...
