Jim! How are you friend!
Generally things are good. Reefing wise , not so much!
My wife, BY THE WAY , was right there sopping up water at 6:00 am, as where my kids, as soon as all was stable, and she was headed to work , late, BY THE WAY , she said, " so what size tank are you going to get...
Seams are easy to fix.
My issue is, if I fix it, and it leaks again ..... marriage gets real hard real fast.
Seam popped at 6:15 this morning I heard the first splash of water as I was preparing to leave for work. It was quite a mess.
Well, my 150 gallon 48 x 24 x 30h Perfecto popped a seem.
It's bottom seem. I think it's bottom front. I am sure it is fixable, but I am not fixing it.
It is free, come and get it by Friday morning or it goes tot he curb.
Rear top left is drilled for 1.5" bulkheads
I am in Bloomingdale 07403...
I may need to visit again. These Becketts are real tricky to dial in and any change can set set off. pH Alk even temp can effect them. Once in the sweet spot though they are amazing.
Sounds like your a little high on water level and then open the injectors. Use the syringe thingy to blast RO...
Yes they direct the flow around the box I added them to reduce turbulence I pointed them down on an angle about 45 deg to the right, or away from the discharge of the skimmer.
Check out my office thread page 61 shows a few pics of the skimmer plumed in
Those 1" spaflex pipes are the inlet and outlet to the PanWorld.
Inlet comes off the side of the skimmer box to the PanWorld inlet.
Outlet goes from the PanWorld volute to the T between the top of the Becketts.
Jim
It's an MRC MR4R
There are three fitting between the Becketts. At the top is the skimmer pump discharge to the Becketts. Between the Becketts on top of the box is the feed pump inlet. Feed the skimmer here with 1.5x your system volume. the fitting below that on the face of the box is the...
Jim
If you are going to around thursday I can stop by in the morning and look at the MRC configuration.
I had it dialed in to generate 1-1 1/2 gal a day of skimate. Which I dumped and replaced as tank volume daily as part of my water change regimen. I could dial it back to run it dryer too...
Hey Jim!
Well, my stuff is not as show worthy as I'd like it to be. But I'll take some pics. I'm still tweaking things and I have many plans to do some significant tweaks over the next few weekends as I eat up mounding vacation time.
For example my skimmer is running great now that I got the...
Wow! I really need to do an update!
Still working on finding my happy place again with my SPS. I feel stable but not like things are super happy as I'm used to. I'll be buring some vacation time over the next month and plan on doing some SPS specifc projects focused at water chemistry...
I have to agree. I ran as much as 650 gallons on my MRC 4 R dual Beckett it took a while to balance but once I figured it out heart and soul of my reef for years.
My SRO 3000 Ext is a bit more finicky and bearly enough for my 300 g system
I am loving the SRO3000XP ext as it was meant to run! I still may pick up the new gen BB3000 for it, but it is a truly excellent skimmer.....
And the biggest I could use on my current system....
Just the way I like it!:chuncky:
I'm still balancing the system with the new pump and impeller...
Amazing!!!
I am actualy holding an impeller for my gen one BB3000!
Let's hope it's the right one this time! This only took six months to recieve!!!!!
I'll drain the skimmer later today and find out! :nervous
I chickened out on flame polishing my sump. I did learn that before you atempt that, the edge should be very smooth, certainly not rough. Try running a trim router or laminate trimmer across the edge first. Or at least a sanding block. As aid above you don't need a high flame.
