As I stated in a previos post I was looking into a 72 gallon bowfront tank. I was not sure what filtration to use. The store was pushing a cartrige filter as that was wwhat was on there tank. It seems that most people in the know are using wet dry systems. Can you please look at this ebay add and tell me if this will work? Seems to include everthing needed for a sump system.

A 20 x 12 x 8 is only an 8 gallon sump...that's a bit too small for my tastes.  I'd like to see something in the 20 - 30 gallon range.  If you're handy, build your own using a used tank that you could pick up cheap.

Hey Chuck,
I think a sump and refugium are great ideas.

I have a lighting fixture from Catalina Aquarium(the sump you have listed).  But I didn't buy their sump.
I bought mine here.

But I had Shan build me a skimmer directly.  I think a most people want to individualize their skimmers.

You can also build your own sump/refugium from a smaller tank.  There are lots of designs but basically you need three chambers one for the skimmer, one for the refugium(if you so desire) and one for the return pump(unless you drill the sump and have an external return pump).

I probably opened more questions then I answered.

Here is a link to my sump.

out of all the pre built sump/refugiums on the market I like ADHI's the best, plus they are designed to hold a ASM skimmer, they also include the lighting and bulkheads in the price. http://www.adhi-usa.com/page/page/3399868.htm

But if you want to save money build one yourself out of a 20 gal tank it will save you a lot of money doing it that way.
