Distilled H2O to cycle?

BC 29 new setup and will receive LR BEFORE RO DI unit from AIR,WATER,ICE. Can I used distilled water for cycling then do a massive water change post cycle? Unless someone can tell me where to find RO or RO DI water in N NJ.

You can use distilled water to mix the saltwater for the cycle. That will due just fine until you get your RO/DI installed. You can also usually pick it up at LFS (but call in advance to be sure). I think you can pick it up at Aquaticu Obsessions, I don't know about the rest of our sponsors. Good luck with the new tank!

Lots of people use distilled over RODI. It's perfectly fine, but I think it costs me. Petco near me sells ready made SW using IO at 1.025 salinity. Can use them in a pinch.
