Makes me glad Im in New Jersey.
the quake was supposedly a 6.6...so the tank is fine! lol.
Actually Singapore is a pretty advanced/modern nation - it was nicknamed one of the five tigers in east asia (along with taiwan, hong kong, japan, and south korea). The country also sits geographically in a zone that will experience aftershocks/tremors from earthquakes - but not an actual earthquake (a la san francisco).
So what we saw on the video, while disturbing - wasn't really that bad. Most of the folks in the offices reported feeling like someone kicked their chairs or something like that.
If anything - I was worried about that lady trying to wipe up the water coming out of the tank...(unless they had a ground probe and gfci-clone...).
It's a beautiful place (airport makes newark, philly, jfk and lag look like a 3rd world airport).
