NJRC Welcomes SJMRC!

NJRC is pleased to welcome the members of SJMRC! The NJRC & SJMRC have united and merged into one organization. Current members of the SJMRC should create User IDs on our forum and then send an email to officers@njreefers.org. Once your SJMRC membership has been confirmed, we'll activate your account so that you have access to all of the NJRC priviledges.

As an NJRC member you'll have access to a great buying network. NJRC runs group buys for various products from inverts to dry goods to specialty products. As our membership grows we strengthen our buying power and achieve increased discounts.

NJRC Members are also able to run for office, participate on committees, vote in elections (like the recent election for a new NJRC Logo), receive discounted admission to NJRC functions, discounts at local fish stores, and participate in Member's Only Raffles at meetings.

The meeting schedule can be found here: http://www.njreefers.org/forums/index.php/topic,409.0.html

The current Group Buy Schedule can be found here: http://www.njreefers.org/forums/index.php/topic,1779.0.html

The RSVP thread for the January meeting (North) is here:

Our next south meeting will be in February at the home of Bloodman (Tim). Look for details in late January. We're still looking for a host for the November South meeting.

If you have any questions please don't hesitate to either post or email the officers @ officers@njreefers.org.

Welcome to NJRC!

If you're still looking for a place for the November 07 meeting I would/could host it. I'm presently in the Deptford area but will be moving to the Bordentown area this spring/summer. So the meeting could be a central/south meeting.

More then likely I'll have a couple more 265s up by then with about a 1000+ display gallons total and over 100 fish.

You know you're hooked on reefing when you "pass" on a house because it doesn't have a nice room for the reefs even though the house would be ideal otherwise. :)

Oh, hell yeah.  You HAVE to have a meeting!

Reef tanks are so darn addictive!

I'm actually looking at the 8' 540g or 10' 670g Starfire tanks at http://www.aquariumsforyou.com/ShopGlassRect.html.

Depends on the room dimensions but I'm going as large as I can physically get in the room short of removing a wall (might do that anyway). Ideally I'd like "mirrow" tanks on both sides of the room with a couple small non reef 265s for things like puffers, butterflys, triggers, etc.

Now if I can only find a place I like in the Bordentown area I'll be set! One thing I am determined to do is create a reef room that will be "jaw dropping" when you walk in.
