There is an irony here in that the Softies were the first and easiest corals to be kept and propagated by reefkeepers starting in the mid 1980's only to have fallen victim to declining popularity. In Germany, they have all but disappeared from hobbyists tanks in favor of SPS corals and to a lesser extent, LPS corals. This trend is well on the way to becoming a reality in the USA.

Of the only 2 frag swaps I ever attended (both this year), I saw less than a handful of Soft Coral frags offered.

Correction....I meant with the exception of Zooanthids, frags of Softies were not popular at the Swaps I attended.
