T5 waterproof caps

Sorry for the delay, but I will get back to you about this product ASAP. I am unfamiliar with it, so I am asking the guys at the shop for you!

If your Tek light is like my ATI light those won't work. They are alot bigger then the ATI ones I have the german end caps on my DIY set up and they are like the size of your palm. The ATI ones are like the ones in this picture.ATI T5 Sockets

I was looking at these because I took my shield off to accommodate my kessil. Now with the ends exposed, I'm thinking I should protect them from salt spray

Talked to the guys at the shop and they said they should fit any T5, but they just won't go into a normal fixture as they are really bulky compared to the standard t5 sockets used in fixtures by sunlight supply in the TEK hoods is all.

Marcus,

I think the state-of-the-art in T5 endcaps looks something like

I believe they say "waterproof" because they stretch over the bulb and make a pretty tight fitting. I think they'll easily adapt to your fixture.

Cheapo Odyssea uses some like the above on their T5 fixtures. They however use acrylic splashguards.

The new AI Hybrids also use some like the above, and they HAVE NO splashguards.

The descriptions for the above eBays tend to say they are "soft rubber". I believe this is a poor translation from Chinese, and that they are really silicone.

I have some used Icecap T5 holders available, but I would personally try the above newer types first.

Hope this helps,
Bob
