WTK -Mag pump mod

I have a mag5 attached to my skimmer but just discovered I need a needle wheel pump. Does anyone know if there is a mod for a mag pump?

You could mesh mod that impeller. But I don't know how efficient it would be, but I think it would work. A mesh modded QO 1200 or 3000 would be sweet on that skimmer body.

Follow this link to the early days of my tank. I did a mesh mod on my Sedra 9000 impeller. It is very similar to a Mag impeller. You need to scroll just over half way down the page.

Is there an impeller with many fins that I could use instead of buying a new one and ripping it aprt for the mesh mod?

I don't think so, maybe someone else knows of one?

There are needle wheels mad for Sedra, Ehiems and other pumps.

It's a pretty easy mod really. Got a dremel? You can do it.

Problem solved. I used a Mag7 on the Berlin Classic which is comparable to the RIO2500. I can't even keep the air valve open much or it overflows. Thanks to everyone for help here and in the Emergency forum post.
