I was watching one of the new nassarius vibex snails try to flip itself over and watched as the yellow coris proceeded to jet over and attempt to rip the snail out of it's shell.
I had been wondering why all my nassarius only come out at night now. Also been noticing a lot of empty shells.
I have been tolerating the yellow coris as it adds a nice flash of yellow in the tank - but lately it has become a huge pig in the tank.
So if you are interested in this fish - be warned - they grow big fast and while they are great with the other fish (even my calm firefish) - they will outcompete others in getting food.
EDIT: I would assume if I had the huge tongan nassarius snails this would not be an issue. oh well.
