    suggestion on Submersible pump

Or you could have 2 or more return lines for one pump..... but I do like the idea of having one pump for each return line (Nickjr000). When one goes out (and it will), you don't need to rush. I always keep some kind of spare.

    suggestion on Submersible pump

With two pumps in the same return line, u end up with a substantial increase in head losses, so, just because it's two pums, it dosen't mean you will get twice the flow. You need an over sized line, to minimize the loss, but you still have one pushing against the other. Better off with one pump...

How far have you traveled to go to a fish store?

I’ve been doing the LFS 500 for the past few months, all mostly within a hour and a half one way. Farthest is That Fish Place in Pa (about three hours) … although my wife doesn’t mind, since she is from Lancaster and we visit her relatives, so it works out. She almost always goes with me on...

WTB 40+ gal rr tank (Essex 07006)

I just had a 40 drilled by a guy at AO while I waited over this past weekend. Check with Will, he could give you his name. Charged me $20. I was going to drill it myself but glass-holes.com is closed until 12/15. They sell the hole saw and also complete overflow kits. Bob

    Help Needed With Tank Restart

I know what you mean. My tank was full of bryopsis couple of years ago after bad salt crashed the tank. It did take a couple of months for me to get rid of it, mostly - it still pops up from time to time. (siphon, scrub, water change, mag, carbon) I've thought about starting over because of...

    Storing water

I store RO water in garbage cans in my basement. The only issue I ever had is a little mold on the inside of the lid because the prolonged humidity. If I keep the lid open, it doesn’t happen or if I keep it closed, than I occasionally wash the inside of the LID with bleach. Bob
