I tried college, twice, didn't really like it. So I dropped out, twice. Wish I stuck with it though. Now I have to go back and do what I should have done 10 years ago. I found out, that when your in my field, if you don't have a degree, you'll be stuck doing shift work forever. I give anybody...
Haha that's funny. My bi-color sleeps stuck to the top skimmer on my BC29. I always think he's dead, but when the lights come on, he's out and about as usual.
I have one in my BC29. He has taken care of the bubble algae in the tank and is doing a really good job of cleaning up in between my zoa's. He has not gone after anything, i.e. pistol shrimp or peppermint shrimp. He seems to keep to himself and just goes about his daily business of cleaning up...
I have a pair of tiger pistols with my pair of yashi gobies. All 4 hang out under a big zoa frag. Also have a peppermint shrimp, emerald crab and at least 20 snails of various species. I also have a bi-color blenny and have no isuues at all. Like mnat stated, the only problem I have with the...
Haha, I didn't even see this thread till today. Thanks for the well wishes everyone. Looking forward to the meeting at Sid's in a couple weeks. Thanks again.
I just got a 6-lined wrasse about a week ago. Yesterday I noticed, at about the halfway point on the fish under the dorsal fin, a orange spot. Today the spot is bigger. It's not on both sides of the fish and doesn't look like a scrape or bruise. The lines are non-existant on this part of the...
Figured I try and give them away first. If I couldn't get rid of them this way, I'd donate them to the club. I just couldn't stand seeing them in the tank they were in. It was covered from top to bottom in bubble algae and it looked like the tank hadn't been cleaned in months. Hair algae was...
These clown were rescued from a pretty bad tank at a LFS near me. I know I can't keep them in my tank so I'm offering them up to anyone that wants them. They are healthy and eating anything. Come get them.
As far as I know, the middle slots are for more water flow. I don't think it's a failsafe, but I could be wrong. Like JRWOHLER said, his came with inserts for the purpose of blocking them off, so I don't think it's a real issue. The basic idea is to get more top skimming.
My tank is very...
Welcome to the forum. Aquarium Center is nice. Lots of fish. A few coral tanks. Some crabby people work there so it can seem liken unfriendly place sometimes, but all in all, it's a good store. Hidden Reef in Levittown is good too. Tons of fish and coral.
Where in Jersey are you? I'm in...
Went to the Hidden Reef last night. The place is great. Prices on coral is very reasonable. They have a huge fish selection. Everything looked really healthy and the tanks were clean too. Couldn't have asked for anything better. I drove over an hour in traffic on 95 North at rush hour to get...
