Whn I had my Tanknin the UK the return pump made tons of vibration. Was difficult to get to sleep ! It kind of cake up the wallls !

It’s a good point. The tank will be in the basement so my only concern would vibration to the room above?

Would love the 525 but I think 425 is gonna be the one. I actually need to measure the width of my basement stairs to make sure the tank will fit. That’s like the most obvious thing I need to do that I have not done :)

Understood. I’m probably going to want to err toward an LED then unless the benefits far outweigh an LED.

Can that be bracket mounted? I want to avoid things hanging from the ceiling if possible.

No real budget other than the wife. Although I am questioning the lights as I want to grow coral. I see lots of LED’s nowadays

Thanks Mrx, one thing I did fail to mention is that I predomantly want to have SPS and LPS corals. I’d love an anemone at some point down the road too.

Used to run Green Chromis and Wreck Fish in my other tanks. Was never an issue. The only issues I ever had was putting the wrong tangs together. I wish I had pics but of my old tanks, cant find anything.

I'll probably go the a mixture gong heavy on dry rock from the ocean, something with a large surface area. I'll the hand pick live rock and take the risk. I think that will now be my plan!
