Hi...I have used Chemiclean's Red Slime Remover twice over the past 10 years (the last time about 6 months ago) with good success. A couple of tips...just use the recommended dose; be patient as it takes little while to see the results (so don't keep adding more), and do water changes as...
Hi Ed...I have been in exactly the same spot for several months now....I have a 135 Oceanic Reef that's been up since 2002. About a year or so ago, I added some new Fiji live rock in order to "freshen up" my existing reef. I placed them in a few spots around the tank...I apparently didn't notice...
Hi Jon...If the tang is eating...just soak its favorite foods in Selcon for a few minutes before feeding. Also, gradually lowering the salinity and/or raising the tank's temerature will help. I would do this only if the tang shows no improvement after several days or if the parasite attacks...

Hi Erna
Just picked up the thread and went through a rollercoaster of emotions!!!!
Felt great seeing you pick up and relocate Sam's great 240 setup....
Felt down when the leaks sprung and the PS nut wouldn't come off....
Felt great again when you all got it going even tho t'was midnite...
My 135 runs between 76.5 and 79 degrees...No chiller...AC set at 72-74 degrees with two 4-inch fans blowing diagonally back to front above the tank and under the MH's (3x 150 and 2x 70). Also use a 9-inch fan blowing across the sump in the stand as needeed during very hot days.

Hi 9
I agree with Brian and Dave that you MIGHT be OK and that tank should be placed outside, filled and watched for a while...the longer the better.
However, please keep in mind that relative to the cost of a disaster...flood, ruined carpet/floor, hours of cleanup, lost fish/corals, etc., is...
Hi Bob
The Eheim pumps are fantastic and well worth the money.....Very Reliable...Very Quiet...Easy to maintain. I ran a 75 gallon Reef with an Eheim 1260 from 1992 to 2000 when I broke it down, with no problems. Well worth the money!!!!
Just be sure to keep debris away from it by mechanically...
Hi Bill
I use a Hodge Podge system for my 6 ft. 135 that I put together on an "as you go" basis. It consists of 2 Tunze Nano 6045's that are on constantly...one aimed across the tank from R to L (closer to the front panel) and the other aimed from L to R at about where the front of the...
Hi Knockout...Welcome to NJRC!!!
JohnS makes a great point (though being the nice guy that he is) he understates it...From my experiences and observations, I believe it will be very difficult to equalize the water flows between the 2 "systems". At best, it will require constant adjusting...
Stephen....My condolences to you and your family on the loss of your Dad...PM sent
Your tank is amazing with its beautiful, rare and VERY Healthy animals. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Oliver
This looks like a pygmy angel called Centropyge Interruptus, or more commonly Japanese Angel... Hard to find fish.

PS The Potters and Fishers Angels look somewhat similar and are easier to find
