So FN pissed off. After running for 2 days the sump cracked again. My stepdaughter and her boyfriend just called and sent pics. Told them to turn everything off and drain sump.
Now no idea what to do as its the second 20g that cracked on me. Not to mention all the work Mike did for the plumbing.
Any suggestions as I am not going back to PetCo for another f'd up tank.

Vibration leading to stress fracture?
Maybe mount the skimmer and return pump on egg crate?
I've always used Petco buck a gallons to build sumps from 20g to 55g and never had a problem.
I'd call corporate, explain the loss of time and money, and ask if they've switch manufacturers?
OR email them a letter and link to this thread.

Thanks Mark. Remember I bought the baffles on e-Bay and they were very snug and I think its how the first tank cracked. I purchased a dremel and grined the baffles down some. They didn't fit as snug as before and figured all was good. So not sure where the issue lies.

I see two choices as I need to move by 9/17:
1) Sell everything off and start fresh some time after the Holidays in 2018
2) Purchase an acrylic sump that will fit, depends on cost

It may be less of a headache for you to just buy a complete sump setup

Picked up a Eshopps RS-100 Sump and 120 Skimmer this weekend. Tired of the bad luck trying to make my own sump.

All moved. The overflow off center does take up much space.
