So I used to wholesale aquatic life, reptiles, and aviary. When protein skimmers used air stones lol. I came back a few months ago with a plan.

75g glass framed
Built stand
Jebao dct4 return pump
Sicce Syncra 1.5 for various needs
Sicce AC 90gph pump
Two Little Fishie Reactor
Coral Life65 skimmer(I know I know lol) I didn't buy this lol
Eheim 300w Thermo Control
Inkbird Controller
Hygger wavemaker
Current USA IC Led 48-60"
Eshopps Herbie overflow
Eshopps AR100 sump
2-Kamoer X1 dosing pumps
2 - Jebao SoW wavemakers
Amazon fuge light

80# dry rock for scape, used about 65#
60# AragAlive Fiji Pink

I started building a stand the week of Christmas 21'
Tank was purchased in March dollar per gallon, paid $107

Scape took about two weeks to build, since I was used to stacking Fiji in the past, and familiar with epoxy and super gluing my fingers together lol

I mixed reef crystals, rodi water the day before Easter 22'

On Easter 22' when the water had reached 80° the sg was .018
I started dosing ammonium chloride to 2ppm(so many drops lol). After 4 hours when Ammonia was 2ppm I started Micro Bacter XLM and the cycle had started.
After a week and a half the nitrite was still 5ppm but lowering. I decided to add 5 green chrommie to boost cycle. I have 4 now lol. 1 smaller chrommie ended up stuck in ball valve after getting sucked down drain.

Wed May 17th I added a pair of Ocellaris Clowns, 5 small Scarlet hermits, and a Strawberry White Tip Hermit(he's huge)

MORE TO COME

In light of returning the rsk300 today I'm gonna pick up a small xenia and zoas. My no3 was around 2, sg was .21

I did a 5g wc with rodi and mixed it to .38.
After mixing 6 hours I ended up with around .24 sg in my dt. I think I'm OK?

You only used 65#'s of rock? I must have used 120 in my 75- but I'm guilty of that- more/ too much rock - I had plenty from my past life- so I keep finding places for it- tank looks great BTW

Thank you! Yes, about 10 in sump in pieces as well. I wanted kinda nsa but came from an Era of stacking the back wall with Fiji rock. I thought about room for flow, and fish to swim freely.

I have 2 in tank sumps that move about 500gph each + 3 heads in tank, so I have enough movement without too much flow

I just added a couple zoa, and a Xenia. I can't figure out how 750gph facing right on top of making xenia bend left.

My heads are cheapos and aren't direct- more sideways, which is better for me- I don't have any sps and don't need high flow- just good movement- my gsp, kenya, torch and hammers give me a great idea about how good the flow is

Think I should move it to face the depth instead of length?

Well late start today. I met the seller picked up new sump, overflow which I'm converting to Herbie. Guess I'll be busy for a while ;)20220604_150801.jpg20220604_150807.jpg20220604_150815.jpg

Out with the old DIY overflow in with the new :D

Well after a while I don't see a crocodile lol.
I got everything plumbed, waiting for cement to setup. I did a bad mistake today. I was thinking I'd do a 10 gallon WC since I lost the water after I dumped the old sump. Mixed it up and thought, lemme add a couple tsp Kalkwasser...... BAD IDEA!!!! LOL waiting on rodi, it's gonna be a long night! 16543936867219205998525808903976.jpg

Well, 3:45am rodi finished and was heated, salt mixed lol. WC, old sump out, new sump in, new overflow in and plumbed Herbie style. I really really need a Spears 20220605_122112.jpggate valve, or Cepex ball valve to adjust flow. I also am going to put a tee and elbow on main drain to silence it, or possibly raise water level in box.20220605_122136.jpg

Water Change Wednesday lol, WCW. Did my normal 10%, picked up felt socks(added 4 hours after MB Clean)
Couple of gsp entries today. Small frags of two different types. One seemed blue/green and the other more yellow green with purple base.
I also picked up a few Trochus snails with the hope my machine of a hermit doesn't eat them. Lost one tonight :(

Happy reefing all! Sorry for poor quality pics, Long day. 20220615_225607.jpg
