Do I need to give it more of a base to grow on?

From what I understand, they're just like a frogspawn or hammer. They will expand their base on their own. I have 2 acans atm that I've had for a year. They're slow growing, but they're at least 2-3x the size that I got them at and still on the original plugs.

From what I've read. If u place them on something like a rock or frag plug they well cover it kinda like Zoas. If they don't have a base to grow over they will need to expand their skeleton nd will grow slower.

Maybe I can find a rock (have a piece in my sum) that fits there and I can glue the frag to it- would love a natural looking rock with Acan covering it- that would cover up the "coraline" on my sand bed.

I am really glad I picked this piece up.
