Ban on 20 corals

apparently a bunch of corals we keep could be declared illegal to buy/sell/ship/own. including A. lokani, ponape birdsnests, and frogspawns. i just put up a comment on the govt site as they are asking for public opinion - mentioned how the corals are mostly from captive propagation, and wild populations are negligibly affected by the hobby. if anyone else feels like saying something, here is the link: http://www.regulations.gov/#!documentDetail;D=NOAA-NMFS-2014-0158-0001

wow. so the whole proposal is a shot in the dark by people who didn't bother to consult the research at all.

agreed. but it was proposed by a private group.
besides most of our politicians who ignore scientists prefer to ignore them outright, not misquote them.

and hell how can you claim ponape birdsnests are threatened when they were officially described to recently to possibly come to any conclusion.
